Cheap 3d Archery Targets

Archery is cool, no matter which way you slice it. Just think of Legolas in Lord of the Rings if you need a reminder of how cool it really is. But don’t think you’re gonna roll up in Helms Deep and just start firing away at the orcs without some target practice. With that in mind, I wrote this hub to describe some places where you can find cheap 3d archery targets, so that you can get all the target practice you need without having to take a second mortgage out on your home to do it. Some of the more popular names in the 3d archery target world are Delta, MacKenzie, Longhorn, and Rinehart, and lemme tell you—sometimes these bad boys get expensive if you buy them direct from their websites. So, of course, my first recommendation is to find alternate websites that carry these targets in order to get some kind of discount but still retain a quality product. Although I used Legolas in Lord of the Rings as an example, I know that most people aren’t too concerned about hunting or shooting orcs…actually, most archery targets are much more rooted in reality, being manufactured as lifelike resemblances of deer, turkeys, bears, bucks, and other creatures commonly found in the wild. For the hunting enthusiast, this is a dream come true, because you can actually shoot at something that looks like the real thing, instead of just a square or circle with numbers or patterns on it. Some of the more cool 3d archery targets are made by Longhorn, and can actually be shot at from both sides. Most archery targets are made of foam, and the target manufacturers of today have perfected the art of making a foam that’s durable, but at the same time won’t cause you too much trouble as far as removing your arrows is concerned—in other words, you won’t feel like you’re trying to remove Excalibur from Gibraltar (man, I’m loving all of my literary references in this hub).

Where to Find Cheap 3d Archery Targets

The best place to begin looking for cheap 3d archery targets is eBay. Although eBay has been well publicized as a place to sell your antiques, or oddities such as chewing gum that Britney Spears spit onto the sidewalk, it’s actually an online powerhouse for deals and steals. As I was doing my research for this hub, I logged on to eBay and did a search for “3d archery target”. I immediately knew I was onto something because eBay’s “auto-complete” feature turned on to where I didn’t even have to finish typing my query before eBay knew what I was looking for. That means that it’s a relatively popular item. I saw several 3d archery targets that were in the low $100.00 to low $200.00 range, with $150.00 being about an average price for a lifelike animal replica 3d archery target. Most of the targets I saw that were being offered were replicas of white tail deer or bucks. Some of the best prices I saw were actually on a website called turkeyhuntingsecrets.com. Let me tell you, the website looked like an ugly old-school GeoCities website from back in ’95, but the prices were on point. They had Delta and McKenzie targets there for under 100 bucks. Just as one example, a whitetail deer archery target that I looked up was priced at $74.99 (as of this writing). Not bad at all. Another route you could go is to get on either Nextag.com or Bizrate.com and do some comparison shopping to see where the best deals are. Well, I have to go eat lunch, so I’m calling this hub quits…hope you enjoyed it!
