Cheap 60's Costumes
If you’re ready to “get your groovy on” and you would like to find out where you can buy some cheap 60’s costumes online, I believe you’ve come to the right hub. I feel like it’s somewhat of a duty for me to inform the readers of my hubs with the “skinny” on where to get great deals on practically everything for cheap on the Web. I will go ahead and warn you about this hub, however—I’m incredibly sleepy as I’m writing this, and I’m not sure that I’m going to care enough to go back and edit or proofread what I write here, so just take it for what I can offer right now, I beg you. :) But anyway, the question may arise as to why in the world anyone would want to dress in anything that even remotely resembles 60’s fashion, and I get that. Even though I grew up in the 80’s, which was another fashion-challenged decade (to put it in politically correct terms), the 60’s was a wild one for fashion as well. This is the era where a cultural revolution really came to the forefront in American history, and everything became groovy, psychedelic and drug-induced. So therefore, you had all kinds of hippie wear, beatnik wear, psychedelia wear, mod wear, and other strange fringe fashion statements of various kinds. At the end of the day, the 1960’s definitely brought color back into full swing as far as fashion goes, with many shirts and pants displaying practically every color that exists (and some that we didn’t even know existed).
Where to Buy Cheap 60's Costumes
As far as where to actually purchase cheap 60’s costumes, you can find some really cool deals at this website called ZoogsterCostumes.com. They have a cool variety of hippie outfits as well as even the hot stewardess outfits of the 60’s (which, by the way, was the “glory days” era of commercial aviation). There’s another website that offers some of the most colorful 60’s costumes I’ve seen in a while; the name of the site is CostumeSuperCenter.com. They have some cool “Flower Power” get-ups, as well as the classic swinger, beatnik, and hippie outfits of yore. As a side note, if you want to see some truly dope 1960’s fashion, rent the movie “Catch Me If You Can” (excellent movie overall, by the way). There’s one part in the movie (which was set in the 60’s) where Frank Abagnale (Leonardo DiCaprio) is renting a swanky place at Riverbend Apartments (formerly known as “Gonorrhea Gulch”) in Atlanta, and he’s throwing a big party with a bunch of Sixties hipsters. If you ever want to see some intense 60’s fashion, that movie is a very good example of what to expect from the “Summer of Love” decade. By the way, I tried to go to the number one ranking site in Google for cheap 60’s costumes, Costumesinc.com, but Firefox labeled it as an “attack site” and would not let me proceed. I figured at that point that it’s best that I leave it alone. But of course, I would be kicking myself tomorrow if I didn’t mention eBay in this hub, because you can find some extremely cool deals on cheap 60’s costumes on eBay. I even spotted a Cher costume on there for only $11.99 (as of this writing), so you know there are some groovy deals to be had on eBay, if you do enough searching around. Well, as I said earlier, my eyes are now involuntarily closing, so I’m signing off. Make love not war!!!
